What a handsome twosome!! I must admit that I had never before heard of the breed tonkinese! How special you are! I especially love the shape and expression of your faces. So inquisitive and intelligent!!
And those eyes!! Oooooh! Thank you for educating me about a beautiful breed and allowing me a glimpse into your special lives. You are two very beautiful and deserving "Cats of the Day!" Yeah for Blueberry and Oscar!!

Loverly! If I weren't addicted to Abyssinians, I'd be looking for Tonkinese breeders right now. Bless you, beautiful babies.

This picture is toooo..cute!! I haven't heard of this breed either. Is it just your part of the USA where they are found. Blueberry has a bit of a Russian Blue look too. Anyway, what a pleasure to see you 2 on "the cat of the day". http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

It is amazing how they even hold the exact same position in the picture!!! What great pets they must be. Sure wish my unrelated Mimi and Butter got along so well!!! Congratulations to Blueberry and Oscar for being chosen as Cats of the Day!!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
Isn't it hard to call "Blueberry, Blueberry"?

If Blueberry and Oscar's people are real cat people, they have nicknames that may or may not even resemble their real names!

The Tonkinese breed is recognised all over the world. They have been around for many years -I have known of them since 1980.

It is also worthy to point out that Tonkinese are only a first/single generation breed. To get a Tonkinese you must cross a Siamese with a Burmese.
