I was very moved this morning to read about Sweet Pea's sad story. She was a very beautiful cat and must have been so special - and was deeply loved by her family...
Losing my beloved Katz in May 2000 I know so well how hard it is to let a loved one go.
Making Sweet Pea Cat of the Day is a great way to remember her and is also a warning for other cat owners living in that area.
I'm feeling very, very sorry for Sweet Pea's human mommy!

I am crying..Sweetpea has touched me too!!!
As most people here I have lost a beloved friend & reading Sweetpeas story brings back the sorrow. My Freda went to heaven almost 4yrs. ago at the ripe old age of 17yrs. Even now my sadness lingers but the joy of the memories of her, help the pain go. You are in my thoughts today, Sweetpea & your human Mom & thank you for your information on these deadly creatures. We were planning a trip to Florida & our new baby, No No Nicky Bad Boy, is going to accompany us. I appreciate the warning.

To Sweet Pea's Human Mommy,

My thoughts are with you today - I can feel your pain in losing such a special little girl and would like to share my way of coping with such a loss.

Sweet Pea left you a wonderful gift- her unconditional love and the memories of her own unique special ways of doing everything she did in her brief life - this is her legacy to you. We feel pain in loss because those that are dearest to us are those who give us our strength - feeling loss makes us vulnerable. Cherish her memory and draw on the legacy she gave to you - remember how special she made you feel and your strength will always remain. This is something you can never lose. In this way, Sweet Pea will always be with you.

I hope you have a very special day today - there are many of us here who share your feelings.

What a darling purr-sonality Sweet Pea possessed. You were fortunate to have her in your life. I had never heard of liver flukes, so I am glad to know about them, also. Sweet Pea's photo reminds me so very much of my Tillie-momma cat. You can see Tillie's own page here (http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Fair/3162/Tillie.html)
Thank you for sharing Sweet Pea with us!

Cara, I just visited your site, your Tillie and all the other kitties are soo beautiful and cute! Especially I love one of her boys, the grey one! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif He's gorgeous!
Here are my three kitties I had/have ( http://home.t-online.de/home/0554132997/cats.htm ) if you like to take a look! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
Two of them, Aysche and Katz, have already left this world again, letting them go was one of the hardest things I ever had to cope with.
