Just a quick tip about hyperthyroidism in cats. There is a treatment using radioiodine injected just under the skin. It's more expensive but it is a cure. I've had a cat undergo this treatment in the past-maybe Cassie's owner could ask her veterinarian if this would apply to her cat. Good luck.
