Guess what I "picked up" last night???

Nope, it wasn't a kitten or a cat, it was a male lab called Scruffy:

I came across him on the freeway on the way home! I pulled over and opened the back of my car, and he jumped right in!

When I got him home I checked his collar, and luckily his owners had engraved their phone number on the name tag.

Within an hour he was safely back home again! The owners had realised he was missing, and had been looking for him for several hours, although not in the area where I found him. He was tired and thirsy, but otherwise OK.

He has such a heartwarming story. His owners used to feed him every day when he lived in the streets near their house in New Delhi. They adopted him, and when they came to Bahrain they brought him with them! Silly boy had wandered off earlier yesterday when a gardner left the gate open!

I'm so happy Scruffy got home safe! :D My boyfriend makes fun of me because I pick up every stray dog and put them in my car (except a few that were mean) He always says, "What if they ruin your leather seats?" I have a small ford focus with no cargo area for animals. I always tell him that I'd rather help this dog and know he/she got home safe then worry about those stupid seats. He still thinks I'm nuts :p
