My heart goes out to the lucky person owned by Dennis Bubba Hyphen Potter. That cat is georgeous and we are all thankful you are still here to tell us of his heroics. My sister also has MS and I know that she experiences some of the same pain you have experienced. I think she is one of the best people in the world and thank God for every day she is alive. She claims to have an allergy to cat dander, but when she visited me and my two cats, she never sneezed once and my two girls have long hair. (She even petted them and they seemed to sense that she too is a special person in my life). My cats have given me so much joy with their antics and they really don't ask for much. They can take a simple thing like a shoebox or a paper sack and string and make a play toy for hours.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Wow!! Your story really touched me. I too believe that God puts "fur coats" on some of his angels. I feel that I have had the privilege to live with a few of His angels. Their quality of unconditional love certainly must come from above. Humans could do well to learn a little from our beloved friends. I hope that you and Dennis Bubba Hyphen Potter still have many happy years together. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

What a treat to open the cat of the day site and see Dennis Bubba Hyphen Potter. You shared your story with me several weeks ago.
Congratulations on your beautiful boy!

Dennis Bubba is really a godsend...his human is indeed one very fortunate individual. This "furry angel" story reminds me of an Oprah show that featured a similar theme: an ailing elderly couple was warned by their housecat of a gas leak. Turns out the cat had alerted them to the problem in the nick of time--had anybody lit a match on their property, their house (and several others on their block) would have gone up in flames. After hearing stories like these, I'll never look at my own "furry angel" the same way again!

Just a note of MANY THANKS for all of your very kind responses about my beloved DENNIS BUBBA. He truly is one of the greatest joys in my life and I am indeed grateful that he allows me to be a part of his life. Yeah! He just fills my heart with joy, laughter and even makes me feel totally loved, especially when things look a bit gloomy. Can't begin to tell yaw'l how PROUD I am that he was featured as CAT OF THE DAY...why even my minister shared his "celebrity" and his picture with the congregation yesterday. I was so proud I almost burst! I'm grateful for folks like yaw'l that have the insights to truly appreciate the incredible value of our pets. And thanks too, to PET OF THE DAY for making it all possible. Wish the dialogue could continue. So once again, Many Thanks and May you all be BLESSED with GREAT Joy and Wonderful Pets!
