We took Nala to the vet today for her yearly check-up.
She was such a good girl compared to some of the other pups there! Of course, she was also the youngest too. There was a Golden there, 8 years old. The lady fosters for a Golden Rescuse, has 3 of her own and 1 foster. The one she had with her, Mickey, was gorgeous. The owner, and other owners kept saying how pretty Nala is. :D

Anyways, Dr. Matthews said Nala was in perfect health. 63 lbs, perfect weight - her nails, ears, coat, skin, teeth, and heartbeat were also perfect he said. He said to continue whatever we were doing because we were doing a GREAT job. :D

Her shots didn't even phase her. she even gave the Vet assistant kisses while she was holding her. She greated Dr. Matthews by jumping up onto the counter, LOL.

The bill was $198.85, we bought a year supply of heartworm chews.

Anyways,,, here's a few pictures of our *perfect* little angel. :D

First of all, wonder pictures as always. Second of all, $198.85 for one dog:eek: That's more than we pay for both Sylvia and Harley for shots, heartworm meds, and frontline. The frontline is only for the warmer months and not year round though. We also don't get every shot on the list, so that might be the difference. Some of the shots are really necessary for where we live, or so we've been told.

Eh, it's pretty normal especially since we bought a year supply of heartworm prevention. Maybe it's different because your dogs are smaller?

I'm glad Nala was a good girl at the vet! Nebo was good at his last vet visit too, when he was sick....he's lost weight though, back down to 57 lbs. He can't make up his mind how much he's gonna weigh.

I've only bought the Heartguard in 6 months supply, but that sounds like about the same as I pay.......mine's like $53 for 6 months, so yours would be twice that for 1 year, plus the shots and exam.

We bought it in 12 months because both Simba and Nala get it, so it's really only 6 months for each dog.

Thanks Amy. :)

KayAnn what a sweet girl Nala is, and I agree about the 63 lbs. of perfection! What a pretty girl! I loved how Simba greeted her. Around here it is the "let me smell you so I can know where you have been" routine!

This picture was my favorite although they were all wonderful as usual. I just think it is kind of "artsy" ~ something that you do so well!

Thanks everyone! :D
I just looked at the pictures again and thought of what the Vet said... it made me smile. And then to look over at her, and Simba happily and healthy, sleeping so peacefully, makes me overjoyed and proud! :D
