for you!

Burning smell was woman's own fur coat

A woman walked into an Austrian bar not realising her £8,000 mink coat had been set on fire by a protester.

Police said the 46-year-old ordered a drink and casually asked bar staff where the smoke was coming from.

Officers believe an animal-lover sprayed her coat with lighter fuel before setting it alight.

Fellow drinkers at the bar in the ski resort of Kitzbuhel grabbed a pitcher of water and put out the flames.

The woman told police she'd noticed a smell of smoke while walking down the street, but had ignored it and gone for a cup of coffee.

The coat was destroyed in the arson attack. Police say they are still searching for the culprit.

You got to hand it to protesters. They are upset at the woman for wearing a fur coat and the death the animals that died for it, but they have no problems with setting a woman on fire??

Is there not something wrong with this picture??

I don't see how she didn't notice she was on fire, but how come nobody else noticed she was on fire as she was walking down the street or entering the bar!?

I agree, they were mad at her for wearing a dead animal , so they thought it was alright to burn her to death!! I don't think the ones that set her on fire has that much care for any kind of life.

Where do you come up with this stuff Richard? All very interesting articles.

A few years ago I was witness to something similar. We were at at an uptown restaurant in Manhattan having some drinks after a concert. A woman walked in with a floor length mink:( She was shown to one of the tables, all of which had candles on them. She stood with her back to the table, removing her coat, letting it dangle as she spoke to someone at the table behind her. Well, one of the sleeves was hanging over the flame and in an instant...poof! It didn't go up in a blaze but let's just say it was a short sleeve jacket after that. Wow, was she burned!:D
