Yesterday (Feb 28) was Clipse's birthday. He is 4 years old. I took some pictures, but haven't had the chance to post them until now. :)

I am not staying at home right now (I am bird-sitting/ house sitting) so my dogs are at home with my family. Yesterday I got my mom to drop them off at work and Clipse got a special birthday bath. LOL Of course Emily had to have one too.

After work I went home for supper. So the dogs and I took the c-train across town to where my mom was going to pick us up. That's where most of the pics are from.

Here they are waiting on a bench.

Waiting on the bench was boring so I let them go run for a bit. No pics of Em running, she stayed just out of range of the camera.

Then I made them go pose. Even though Clipse looked away just as I snapped the pic, I still like how it turned out.

More coming...

When they were done posing I went and sat on the bench and let them just wander around.

Em kept looking to see if my mom was coming yet.

Every now and then they would stop their wandering and come and keep me company.

More coming...

When we made it home I brought out the cookies I had bought from a doggie bakery.

They got to try the yogurt dipped dunkaroofs. But first they had to wait.

Happy Birthday, Clipse!

I never cease to be amazed at how well-trained your dogs are. I cannot even imagine what my dogs would do ... they would NOT leave those biscuits alone, that's for sure!

Happy Birthday Clipse!! Great photos! Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous! A well-groomed sheltie is a sight to behold! :D

They are so well-behaved too! Nebo would wait for the cookie like that, but if I had him loose he wouldn't just wander, he'd take off!

Well they better be. I work at a grooming shop after all...LOL

Actually I was really lazy yesterday, I just bathed and brushed them and trimmed their feet. I didn't even touch their ears or heads, or pants...etc. LOL Both are in desperate need of ear trims.....:)

happy birthday clipse! lol shadow had a bath and brush yesterday too, I was going to trim the hair on her ears but she did not agree with that idea lol I had the scissors and eveything in the bathroom because I had just done happy, I tried calling shadow, nope. cliped a leash on her she nearly bit me for that one, tried briber her lol I got her to move 2 feet bribing but as soon as she took the treat she jumped back to where she was! gave up on that idea! its nice to know that I am not the only one who will just let my dogs wander lol at the dog club I will just open the door let happy outside, and keep an eye on her until she wants in lol

Wow. Your dog tried to bite you for attempting to put her leash on? Yikes! My dog would be a sorry dog if he ever tried that with me. I have zero tolerance for biting dogs, and dogs that do not accept me as the alpha dog in the pack. It's not like you were hurting her, by triming hair around her ears.

No offense, but by giving up on that idea, you just completely reinforced her bad behavior. You just showed her that if she tries to bite you, and won't "let" you touch her, that you will give up and she will win. Bad idea. My dogs are not given the choice of whether they will "let" me do something to them or not. I will do it, and they know it. I am the human, I am in in charge.

Have you considered obedience training for this dog?

 How the heck did I miss this thread?

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY CLIPSE!!!! :D

I'm still dreaming of the day when I'd finally be able to let both boys off leash without worrying about one chasing a squirrel. :o
