View Full Version : Do your cats sleep together?

I see that we have two very different species of cats on here:
1) Those that love their house mates
2) Those that tolerate their house mates

I'm interested in seeing who has what - and which species of cats win!

Pouncer and Allen are basically one big grey and orange cat because they are ALAWAY together. Right now, they are so entwined... awww... its so sweet. Pouncer's paws are supporting Allen's head and Allen's paws are wrapped around Pouncer's tummy. Both are purring up a storm.

Dakky and Tenny, too, are ONE gigantic tuxedo nation, always laying on one another. You can't tell where one begins and one ends.

Tex will occasionally sleep with Georgia. Allie will occasionally sleep with Dakky, but never like Dakky and Tenny. Minnie is, alas, always sleeping alone. Monte is too bad for anyone to sleep next too, unless you count the 2 seconds he is laying on top of someone before they fully awaken and run away.

That depends on your definition of the word "together."

They will sleep in the same room, sometimes they will sleep on the same bed. But touching is still taboo.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid82/p9cc5159289ed081c2afd73957072b36c/faea49fb.jpg

Sometimes they will sleep NEAR each other (mirroring the other's position) but NEVER will they touch while sleeping. Marshmallow only tolerates Pickles. Sometimes she will let him groom her, but never has the opposite happened!

Mine only tolerate each other. They might lay close to one another. Felicia gets mad and moves if Beau touches her.

I've seen Felicia growl at Beau when he is too close. Beau ignores it and lays down on top of her. Beau isn't deaf either.

None of the choices fit my cats, so I didn't vote for any of them.

Here it is something between Sometimes and Often: it's rather sometimes, but it's not "When nobody is around":D

Emily and Eliot are siblings and were a velcro unit for their first six months or so. Now, they are good buddies but seldom snuggle. Enter Dylan...he is also good buddies with the other kitties but nobody snuggles anybody. Still, they have a friendship, meaning all of them groom one another, affectionately nose each other, etc...but no sleeping together. Almost always in the same room and on the same bed or couch...but NOT touching!

Well I voted for all the time! The boys are hardly ever alone, and Lady is usually with Orange. The only odd ball is Mikoto, who only sleeps with some one if they happen to go where she is. Takes too much energy to move!

The Siamese all sleep together as you can see in my sinature!Sometimes you get 6 or 7 , in a big clump. But the other Cats , while they like each other , seem to need thier own personal space.
