shayna, and I hate it. why? because for some reason no one can pronounce it! I remeber in elmentry school when attandance was taken in the lunch room the superviser would say things like "shyana" "shea" etc.. and the whole lunch room who was sick of it would yell SHAYNA! :eek: lol even now substitutes and teachers keep pronouncing my name wrong, and it drives me insane, I mean how hard is it to pronouce "shay-na" I mean really :rolleyes:

When I was little, I ((apparently)) looked like Michelle on Full House ((Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen)) so my parents were going to name me that.
Instead, they made Michelle my middle name.

I don't see why you hate your name. I have 2 uncles, an aunt, and a cousin with that name. Of course the guys are spelled differantly. I still can't pronounce the male version of Don. It always comes out as Dawn, so are family has learned that I mean one of them. Oh and all the Dawns, and Dons are all on my dad's side of the family. So when there is a family get-to-gether, it's even harder to figure out which one I am talking to. ;)

My grandpa's ex-wife believed that names could change your child's personality, and her kids were having some major problems, so when they were young (I believe they were 4 and 6) they got to pick their own names out of a list of names. Apparently it worked lol.

My mom and dad couldn't agree on a name for me, and they were still arguing about it days before my birth. My dad wanted to name me Kizzie. (I'm NOT kidding!) Can you imagine!? Thank you, Mom, for putting your foot down on THAT one!!!

My mom had gotten a box of apples from the grocery store. Yes, back in the dinosaur age, when you got fruit in wooden boxes or baskets. The label on the box said "Shanna Apples", and my mom said, "Ok, how about Shanna?" My dad said, "Fine. Whatever."

And that is how I came to be named after a brand of apples. :D

my names Tracy, but most of my friends and family call me Trace, never tray...I am not a food service device. I also get called Tracel (by my aunt only) or Tracy Lee, Lee being my middle name. But really I answer to most things except I can't stand it when people call me Theresa my name is Tracy, not Theresa Tracy....GET IT RIGHT!!! sorry I've been called that to many times by people on the phone at work.
