Thanks Peanuts.

Because of her colouring, her name had to be Amber :)

She is a Border Collie and her parents ( Red mother and Black and White father) were both working farm dogs.

Amber is so beautiful. Her tail is just luxurious looking! I think people are thrown off about her breed because her coloring is so unique for a border collie. Australian shepherds can look a bit similar to borders, but are a bit stockier and have bobbed tails. I think borders are most commonly black and white whereas aussies often range all different colors.

Amber is very unique and beautiful!

:D Yay more Amber pics, she is just stunning.

Red and White Border Collies are quite common in Australia :)

And 90% of Border Collies are Black and White. with the other 10% made up of , Silver/Blue, Chocolate (usa & Can Red), Blue Merle, Red Merle, Sable Etc.

hehe.. aussie is one of my favourite breeds too :) And I like BCs too :D

Amber is definitely highly strung like a Border Collie.

She wont let you look at her, to check her over! She got the face on big time, the other day when I put ear drops in. She wouldn't come to me for hours and actually slept in the living room instead of with us! She is very very sensitive and I'm led to believe that it's a natural tendancy for BC's.
