You know that some of those rolls of toilet paper can get pretty mean sometimes. He is just making sure that you are safe.:D

Those Rolicus Paperus are an especially nasty prey and one must be stealthy and smart in order effectively kill. Rolicus Paperus is commonly known as a roll of toiletpaper, but cats know better. It sits there day in and day out taunting them. It is often replaced the moment its predecessor is depleted!

Startegies vary on how to kill Rolicus Paperus - many wait for the human to forget to reload it onto the "holder"... this is a simple attack where you may knock it off the sink or back of toilet. Other strategies include rolling it slowly off the roll one sheet at a time. This one is particuarly time consuming... especially if the human has the sheets roll towards the wall! My cats enlist the help of a common enemy: The dog. They will start the process and she will drag the sheet out into the hall to feast on the kill.

The pictures show a very thorough and messy kill. The hunter should feel propus and must be rewarded got their efforts!:D

I too, am very impressed with the thoroughness of this kill. I am fortunate. Although Eddie does drink from the pond located next to the lair of the rolicus paperus he has yet to take one out!

Not to alarm any of you, but have you tested your t.p. roll for rabies? If they should attack an otherwise naive and innocent pusscat or, heaven forbid, an underage child! Or perhaps the unprotected rump of you or a loved one... Think of the horror!

LOL at the pictures and LOL at the comments!

Mine never did it, maybe because they are not allowed alone in the bathroom?

I think this thread should be banned to the Dog house! Showing a massacred Rolicus Paperus just to show your kitty off!!!!

These Abys are known for their cruelty - ok we'll have to accept that as it is their nature. But horrible pics like that - it's a family site!!!!!

That is such a funny picture , but thank God , my Cats ahve never been intersted in hunting and killing Bath Room tissue , as with 13 Cats , I would be out of the Carmin, all of the time! What a disaster!

Ms. Abycat,

I find your posting pictures of the wanton and inhumane treatment of toilet paper rolls to be an unusual way to poke fun at such a serious subject.

We, at W.I.P.E (Worldwide Institute against
toilet Paper Extinction) find these pictures
encourage this kind of wild and indecent behaviour.

Although the photos do show nature at work, encouraging felines to attack and mutilate toilet paper rolls is totally unaaceptable.

We have often been caught without a backup roll, Kleenex just cannot do the job.

Please make an effort to help save the Toilet Paper rolls on the planet, their time on the Earth is limited to certain 'acts of nature'-
Animal attacks are the exception.

Thank You,

Mr Whipple.
