Ahhhh, so the next time someone offers me a squirt of perfume in the mall, I don't have to just politely say "no thanks" but I can look at them and squeal, "you've got to be kidding! I don't want that anal fluid on me!"

I do drink coffee, actually lots of coffee. However, the thought of drinking that coffee really doesn't excite me at all. I think that guy is right if you charge enough for it, some sucker will buy it.

The civet's anal gland fluid has been used for perfumes for thousands of years. So I think it is not gross in itself but gross are the methods of getting it.

Same way as pure plant cosmetics without animal testing there are pure plant perfumes too.

Thousands of civets are now killed in China. They used to be eaten and now there is a suspection that the SARS virus was spread by them. Another threatened animal going.:mad:
