Cat Of The Day recently began having "Ad By Google". Are these sponsor ads, the kind that will benefit Pet Of The Day if we click on them? POTD must be massive, with all the archives and graphics. I don't know how they do it with no pop-ups or member fees.

Hi Dan Holder,

There was a discussion about the ads in a thread started by
member Zippy Kat on 1/19/04 I think. Look in the Dog House
section for the thread titled "Ads on Pet Talk". I think Paul &
Karen have done a great job in screening these ads as much
as possible. If it helps to maintain Pet Talk as an animal friendly
site, I'm all for it.:)

Yes, they are to help with the costs of maintaining and improving Pet of the Day! Paul announced when it began in this thread. (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41193) The thread Liz mentions is here. (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42105)

Really? You just do a "Search" ( did mine for "Paul" under username, and the word ads) and then copy the URL in that window, and hit the "http://" button above the dialogue box you'retyping your post in. It brings up first a window where you can type what you want the link to say, then the net window where you paste that URL you copied.
