I am married 2 1/2 years... and I proposed to my husband... bought my own a ring and all!

He was married before and it was BAD... she thought she could sleep with whomever she wanted, he thought otherwise;) He swore that he'd never marry again, so I had to change his mind!

I am ammending my first post.....I am married to the greatest guy in the world. He cleans the house, helps with laundry (if I allow him to lol), fixes everything that's broken, and is remodeling the entire house himself. He already has the one bathroom done and is virtually finished with the living room and is working on the other bathroom and then has visions of the kitchen next. Whenever I need him, he's always there (like this morning I got up late and he went and got my clothes from the basement and started my car). He also is as big of a animal lover as I am, which, from everything I've heard is somewhat of a rarity. (Pet Talk men excluded).

Mugsy did it so I have to do it too :p I'm adding onto my statement because I think my husband is also very special and unique. He helps me cook, clean, does the laundry (except the folding part!), is always out in the yard when it's warm gardening and beautifying the place up, he loves the dogs, worries and fusses about me if I seem to be pushing to do too much, is understanding (most of the time) and compassionate. I am very blessed!

Other: widowed just four yrs ago after 10 incredible and wacky years. Had been married (disastrously) at 18 and after 3 yrs and two babies was divorced. Took me over 25 years to risk it again. Best thing I ever did. Too weird and set in my ways to consider it again. I am the "Other" as well. I have been with Dan for almost four years and we have a child together named Dylan, aged 2. :) I don't know if I really believe in marriage, so as of right now we are not married, not do we have the money to plan an expensive wedding, like I want. :p If I get married I want it to be FOREVER! So it's something I really need to think about, and him to. We used to be engaged, but we split once, then got back together right before our son was born. We have been through tough times but have always stuck it through. It made us stronger and I love that feeling. I do love this man, and we are in love, just don't see the point of rushing marriage right now. We are focusing on our son, trying to find a house etc. We pretty much are married, just don't have the paperwork. ;) So I guess you can say we are married. I mean, we practically are anyway. :p

Seriously, we do plan on getting married some day. After we get our house, finish school etc. we will start planning. We talk about it all the time. :D

Carl & I will be married 32 years March 11. At least 20 of them were happy years (just kidding - it's more like 30) I will be 52 in Feb. Carl has been a great husband, father, friend and fur father. Doesn't pick up very often after them but is always willing to load up and go to the dog park or for walks.

I probably should have voted for other though, we now have a long distance marriage - for the past six months he lives in Florida and I am still in Ohio. Don't know exactly when we will fix that.
