Hmm looks like we won't be getting the new American Idol the same time as US, as we did last time, however NZ Idol is underway, they are doing the auditions now and it will be screened in Feb can't wait, should be fun.:)

What really bothered me was them having the World Idol, when we have not even had our first NZ Idol, there are some real talented kiwis, and we could not even enter, hopefully they will have another one and we can enter this time, so unfair.

yeha i know! some of them are so bad it makes me wonder if they are real or not! i know they saay it's all real, but what if some people go and tyr to sing bad so simon will yell at htem.:confused: i always feel bad for the people who cry when simon tells them they can't sing at all.

i watched it and it was so funny especially the young lady that came in on a scooter...........the way she acted had wondering if she was high on drugs or something.her voice was lovely though.

i love simon he tells it like it is and last night i think the other two judges were telling it like it is too.

On Friday over here the 3rd series of American Idol starts, I have never seen the American version before, should be fun.

I've heard worse singers before at karaokee and the whole bar doesn't clear out. However usually when the bad singers are on stage people get up to get more drinks or use the restroom :)

I was so impressed with the guy with the bright red hair. I thought his voice was great and that song was so nice to listen to. :) And those two borhters were also reeeaally good. I can't remember any of their names though. :o

Scat girl was awful but she seemed nice and a good sport about it so I felt so bad for her. LOL. I just couldn't help but feel sorry for her. ScooterGirl was great just because she knows how to humour herself. But I still say, bring back Keith! :D :D :D

I just saw Simon on Inside Edition (Or was it Extra ?). Anyway, he was saying he was really embarrased that they were praising Scooter Girl and he said she's not that good. He said he was just tired and not thinking clearly when he was praising her.

i always feel bad for the people who can't sing, then cry when they get told no. the people who start insulting the judges jus annoy me because they are bad sports...i think it knida sucks that they don't really show any of the good people. only 4 out of how evermany they showed actually made it:rolleyes: i enjoyed it anyway though:D

I watched it for the very first time ever last night. I was just flipping through channels when I stopped there. My husband piped in from the kitchen, "you aren't going to watch THAT - are you?" Three minutes later he was hooked and we watched the entire show.

I loved first winner - the young woman with the crayola red hair. There were some others that were really good too.

I also enjoyed when the winners would rush back outside to greet their family and friends - that was so sweet and fun to see.

I got a kick out of the one poor woman who thought that with a little choreography and some synsithysers for her voice that she could be on the show.

Yeah! Its a good thing my bf wasn't watching with me last night because I sat up for a closer view!!

I couldn't decide what to watch last night, so I kept going back from The Apprentice to American Idol. Some of those people had me cracking up! I couldn't believe that guy threw the water in Simon's face. It's true what they say, one of the best times to watch American Idol is the first few episodes so you see all the bad ones. (who actually think they are the next "Idol")

it should be on again tommorow my guess the reason it hasn't been on is because they figured E.R and friends and what ever else comes on during the week would beat the reviews.i'm not really sure but it should be back on tommorow or even tonight.take care.

I really liked Army girl, and scooter girl cracked me up :) I also like the girl who sang Proud Mary; I hope she goes far. Her voice is so sweet compared to the dull sameness of many of the competitors.

The moves on that guy was hilarious, but there was something so sweet about him.

NZ idol is well underway now, but cannot say I am enjoying it as much as american or aussie, maybe i have just seen too many now and the novelty has worn off, still beable to vote this week so that should be fun, I sure don't agree with some of the judges choices, some of those they think are good, i think stink, oh well, will be interesting to see who wins.:)

I watched tonight for the first time this season. I voted (numerous times) for Jasmine Trias (contestant 5) - she's been all the buzz in Hawaii so it was good to finally hear her sing! I heard that Camile Velasco, another Hawaii girl made it to the next round of the competition.

I think Jasmine has got it in the bag!

I really tried to like them last night. But honestly, I thought they were all terrible. There are only a few this year that I'm interested in hearing. Not the same crop this time, that's for sure.

I LOVE Simon, he's the only one not afraid to tell these people they stink. Tiara was terrible, I was surprised when Randy and Pauls raved about here... I thought that they must have been listening to someone else.

When the one girl sang (forget her name) I was telling my husband that she was making ugly faces... I almost fell over when Simon said the same thing! Hee Hee!

Jasmine was fabulous, and thats about the only one I thnk can make it out of last night's group, but I thing the red-headed boy is absolutely the sweetest & classiest thing to hit the show.

And just one last thought.... is anyone else annoyed to no end when they are sitting there, Ryan is telling America what number they are and then they show the number with their hands and mouth the number? They think its cute, I think its sloppy and plain annoying.

I've stopped watching. The hour show has been chopped into two half-hour shows during the week; it's impossible to keep track of what's happening (and it's made room for even more ads).

But I like the girl with the black and pink hair, whose name I've forgotten :o
