There are some good ones listed on that link posted but don't forget U2!
Some of their best albums and songs are from the 80's!
( I know Amy-WolfQ will agree with me);)

shais_mom, I remember that "867-5309" now I will be humming that the rest of the night!

You know I couldn't think of a song from the 80's, everything kind of jumbles together when you have been through so many years of music changing like it has for the past 40 years, of couse I do remember some when I was younger too, like leader of the pack. The shangra-las, oh my goodness my age is really showing! And the fact that I just went blank! OOPS!!

Willie will now exit the room.......

Excuse me, but I didn't see AC/DC anywhere in this list! You must have some good old AC/DC! My husband suggests Aerosmith (which coincidentally was the band my son excitedly called NEW a few years ago... he-he-he)

Also Bruce Springsteen, Pat Benatar (sp), the Go-Gos, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Wings, Rod Stewart, Genesis, the Police, KISS, David Bowe, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Blondie, B-52s, And of Course, the King of Pop Michael Jackson - obviously my taste runs the gamut.

I love 80's rock :D. A lot of great bands already mentioned. A few more of my favorites include:

Foreigner
Kansas
Chicago
Crowded House
Billy Joel (like his 70s and 80s)
Queen
Toto

Lots more.. those are the ones that come to mind at the moment. :D
