(Don't look at the piles of laundry!)

If I try a little harder, I might be able to stand like a human...

I've never seen a cat sit like this and he seems quite content to do so. He looks more Prairie Dog than Cat. My silly silly little boy!:D

It looks like he's not quite awake yet.

"Mommy, do I have to get up now?"

Aaaawwww Pouncer, you're just too cute!!!

There are these little animals in Africa, who always stand on their hindlegs and watch the open prairie...unfortunately I don't know their name in English (in German they are called "Erdmännchen")...but they reminded me very much of sweet Pouncer!!!;) :)

Those little guys are called meercats
from dictionary.com:
meerkat
n : South African mongoose-like viverrine having a face like a lemur and only four toes

also check out this site for cute photos
Meerkat.org (http://www.meerkat.org/)

PS, just so happens that my big orange tabby's name sake is a meerkat that was featured in Disney's the Lion King; "Timon". He also had a side kick warthog called Pumba. But my Timon's side kick is Tucker.;)

PPS, I've seen Tucker sit a stare just like Pouncer and I have asked many times..."What are you thinking, What goes on in that sweet little head of yours?" He often looks so far away!

Tigris can do that too. It's one of the moments when they look neither intelligent nor elegant:D

HA! If memory serves, he did go from 'duh' to full speed out of the room just as soon as I was done taking the pics.

It's that twilight zone between 'shall I wake up now?' or 'it's all too hard, think I'll sleep again' ;)
