I was reading a site about what happened "ON THIS DATE"

Hal Roach, the film maker was born in 1892-
He made great films--Laurel and Hardy, Our Gang......



And the other tidbit was about Redd Foxx, He began the
TV series, 'Sanford and Son' on this date....He also made funny
'party albums' - these days you can pick up ANY comic album and hear all the swearing you want. In the 'old days' you would get these records from 'somebody's uncle' and play them when your parents weren't home, laugh and giggle over the words coming out of your parent's stereo.........


what was nasty then is nothing today....same words, different time...:confused:

So we'll start out with the DOTD...

Foxy Lady

Recipe: 1 oz Malibu, 1/4 oz Chocolate Almond liqueur, 1/2 oz Amaretto and fill with cream.
Shake and serve over ice in a tall highball glass or goblet.

Regarding your new signature about openning cans - a few weeks back when my brother was feeding my cats for me he first located the can of cat food. OK, so the end of the fiscal year is Jan 31 and yet once again I have the pleasure of sitting down with the big bosses and figuring out my achievements for the year and at the end of it all, whether or not I get a raise. God I hate this time of year.:mad: :mad: After 18 yrs on the job I think I deserve a shorter version of the questionnaire.

So before I start in on this 4 page document, I'll take another virgin BM and make it a double.

I found out about the heaven of Nutella acouple years ago . We were hosting one of the Up with People cast members ,she was from Belgium . She and I went shopping and she was so excited about finding it . So the next morning Ann and I and the jar went to a friends fresh bakery for croconts and nutella . What an experance!!!!! I was in Heaven.

Actually, as a matter of fact, he does. His name is Luigi. They are cute little guys that hop around and squish trolls (no really!) on tiny little hand held screens, usually held by 8-14 year old boys, but sometimes held by girls and "older" folks, and also sometimes see on bigger TV size screens. There is a thread here somewhere, but I got him as a little three month old baby, first thing he did when I got him, and remember he was just a baby, he bit my.... well he bit my chest area!! Ouch look like a vampire had got me.

I have had Mario for 16 or 17 years, don't exactly remember how long. He used to be married but his wife died. He got very upset when his wife Bugger died, so he just does pretty much what he wants to do. Like they said he is a huge theif. He will steal anything he can pick up, roll out or push. LOL. He came from a lady in Louisanna, he was tame when we got him. His wife wasn't, she used to bite the heck out of my hands, fingers. Now she came from a circus, she was being mistreated by the owners. They felt they didn't need her, she was only interfering with her mothers performance in the circus. So we were very patient with her. But we lost her last year. I hate to even talk about her death, she was the sweetest of the two.

Thats about it, I guess. There are some funny stories of both, they are little clowns.

Aaaaahhhh...what a nice peaceful scene, everyone is snuggling in the big comfy chairs by the fire, no one is behind the bar right now, but I guess we can all basically help ourselves, the fire snaps and rouses everyone from their thoughts. I think I'll go make some microwave popcorn. Orville's butter flavor if that's ok. Nothing better than good popcorn and good beer. I think I'll have one of those nekid beers I mentioned a few weeks back.

My final words on the Lut thread are that if that really was her - trueface, then I'm sorry she was hurt. It seemed all we wanted to do was let her know that we'll miss her, and of course it all got out of hand. I hope after this all calms down she will see through to our true feelings and come back because she will truly be missed. :(

Anyway, here's to PT and all the wonderful people that join together through the love of their pets to make up this wonderful place.

Ok, enough of that, what an exciting day it's been! Two great threads with lots of sillyness - you gotta love this place! :D

Did you hear about the three streakers in the Denny's up in Spokane Washington last night? Three guys ran naked through Denny's, wearing nothing but boots and a smile. When they got back outside, they discovered that their car - and clothes had been stolen. The three guys were found shivering in a nearby car lot. It was 20F (-7C).

Slick, don't bother cleaning up after Mario. I'll clean up after him, I am kinda of used to it. Him and Bugger used to get lose in my house and redecorate, I think they were having a pary. They would get a hold of my knitting thread and have it stretched all across the room. Look like a party had been going on! So I'm pretty good cleaning up after Mario.

Mario must have heard about this restaurant that is near us in Florence Alabama, where they have lots of peanuts, and when you eat them, they want you to just throw the hulls down on the floor!

Even in the 80's it was going on in wayne county, Tenn.! I was driving through town one night And a car Passed me, There was a butt hanging out of the window. The bad thing was , I knew the car( not the butt). I knew all the people who were not hanging out the window.:D I did learn who the butt belonged too.:p

Whew! Finally made it back! What a day it's been. I definetely need a drink, but it has to be something warm. I'm anticipating the snow and freezing rain we're supposed to get tonight - ugh!
