Awww, my dogs did a tribute to mommy...(pics)

Dusty and Roxy knew that I was blue. So while I've been on the computer the past few hours typing, they've been making a tribute for me. There were so sneaky about it too! They were right behind me the whole time making this for me! They made my day! Awwww!

"Since mommy is blue, we decided to be blue with her..."


First, we chewed up blue color crayons and smeared them all over the carpet. (Did you even know that crayons could smear? Mommy didn't realize it! She was so surprised!)

Then, with color crayon shavings in mouth, we smeared blue all over eachother. Our goal was to look like blue smurfs, but we ran out of color crayons. We need to talk to that boy about providing us with more crayons.

TaaaDaaaa! Blue doggies to match our sad mommy! We made her smile AND we got tummy rubs!

p.s. Mommy says that these pics don't do any justice. We were so excited about her surprise that we wouldn't stay still for the pictures. Mommy only captured 1/3 of our blue spots!

Nala was sssoooo close to being the same color as you guys! I found her chewing a BLUE INK pen the otherday! :eek:

I have no idea where they're coming from, but she also chewed up, and left pieces of a pencil all over the living room floor.

I had a purple sheltie for a while. Somehow, a really runny purple ink pen was on my bed and had touched the sheet and spread all over. Kaedyn was still wet from a bath and decided to 'dry off' on my bed. He had huge purple spots for weeks but it was really funny.:D

How sweet, I hope their sweet little tribute done the job. They were blue just for you just so you would smile for them. They know how you have been feeling.

I think dogs just naturally stay in tune with our feeling, emotionally. When they sense that your are depressed or even just sick, they know. It seems they always try to be there just for that occasion.

I have a purple lab right now--I was doing some stenciling in the dog's room the other night, and I didn't notice, until I came home from work yesterday--he's got purple paint right by his whiskers!!!!

OMG your story about the blue crayon is so cute!

It reminds me of one of my cousin's dogs, an all white boxer named Patchy (had one black patch around her left eye). One day her 3 year old son was supposed to be taking a nap with Patchy in his room.

My cousin fell asleep in the next room. When she woke up, she said she thought she was still dreaming because Patchy looked like a dalmation with blue spots! Then here comes her son running down the hall with a blue bingo marker.:D Sweet Patchy, she always did put up with his craziness incredibly well.:)
