Im so sorry to hear about your loss :(

I feal the same way. I never got to meet my Great Grandma(My moms grandma). She lived in Scotland. I wish I could have met her. She died of a stroke but she also had a bug tumor in her cheek. She died this year at the age of 97.

Give your mom a hug from all of us, then, when things are quiet, ask her what he was like when she was your age. Ask the same thing of anyone you meet at the wake - that way you will get to know him - the best of him.

I'm so sorry to hear this Amber:( Your great uncle sounds like he was a very special man. And you know, although you never met him, he is still a part of you. As Karen has said, learn as much as you can about him and hold him in your heart. And whenever you get the chance, let everyone else know how very special he was. I hope now he is at peace. Love and hugs and my heartfelt condolences to you and your family, Amber. Love, Sandra
