i see some people have avatars and some do not. i am one of the "do nots." is there a special ranking of posts or something to have one? not sure about this one as i did not see in my profile to have one.

if someone could be so kind as to point me in the right direction...thanks

   There is no minimum number of posts. If you have a graphic (no larger than 60 x 60 pixels) you may have an avatar. Click on the "User CP" button on the top of the page. Then click on "Edit Options". Then "Change Avatar" at the bottom of the page.
