I just got back from visiting my parents in Texas and thought I'd post some pictures of some of the animals.

This is Lola she's a former show goat. My dad bought her from an FFA student who no longer could take care of her.

Cassie, my aunts Cocker Spaniel.

It's not a great picture because I was scared to get too close to him. He was just hanging out on my front porch one day.

This Pepper, the family dog. We found her in a ditch in front of our house a few years ago.

Thanks for sharing pictures from your vacation!:)

I loved all of them. I don't know if I would have gotten as close to the snake however. If it was a pet it would not have bothered me, but wild....

Yup the snake is an Indigo. As soon as I saw it I called my dad to see what kind it was and if it was poisoinous (yes, I bugged him at work). I didn't really get that close to him, I just used a zoom lens :) but I was really on the other end of the patio.

Does your family have a farm or something? Lots of animals!!

We live on a small 50 acre ranch, my parents house is built on 5 acres on one end of the land then my grandfather and two aunts live on a house on the other end of the property, the majority of the land is woodland. But we have a several acres cleared out for the goats and sheep and other animals.

Wow, great pictures. I think having a ranch like that would be so neat. Love all those animals.
