I found out today why BC is so cold this year! :)
The Arctic is as close to us as it's ever been, and pushing all that cold air down.
The Rocky Mountains usually block out the cold air that comes over from the provinces Eastern of us, but it's so cold over there that it's coming over the mountains!
There's a storm brewing in Hawaii and it's pushing the warm air and and moisture towards us. It meets the mountains and rises, but the cold air drags it down. The moisture freezes, and we get tons of snow. That's why it's actually snowing in the Lower Mainland.
Lol, I know, pointless information. :p
