Cody is beautiful!!! I also have two Maine Coons and agree that they are a lot like dogs. My two-year old boy is also huge, but very fit. My 8 month old girl is still pretty small, but she's got a lot of growing to go!! They love to cuddle and seem to never have a bad day. I am also totally sold on the breed!!

Hi beautiful Cody! You are soooo gorgeous. I just adore the silvery sheen of your coat. And those eyes! I recently adopted a maine coon mix kitten and he is just as your humans describe you! A true joy. What a splendid fellow you are. Thank you for adding such a grace note to my day! Congratulations Cody. You are a lovely, sweet and oh so special Cat of the Day! Lots of love your way; and lots of treats as well, I hope!

Hi beautiful boy Cody..Are you a silver tabby??? What a sweet face, I also am lucky to share my life with a beautiful red tabby that looks just like you. What a wonderful breed & I agree, they do display dog behavior at times!!! My boy loves to play chase & doesn't get tired fast. He also loves to sleep on his back, is this a habit of the breed???

Cody is a silver patched tabby (or silver torbie in some cirles) He is mostly silver with some dilute red patches on his nose, back legs and chest. His coloring is very unique and depends very much on lighting conditions. He looks best in the sunshine when the silvery color is most prominent. He has a pure silver undercoat but is much darker on top. I have seen shaded silver Persians but I have never seen that exact color in a Maine Coon. Cody's coloring does come close to that though. (except for the red patches) Both his father and grandmother are silver patched tabbies but his mom is a brown classic tabby.

Hello Cody you beautiful boy! What a star you are! I was honoured to meet you in person at Christmastime when I visited your "mom". Please try to let your humans sleep later! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif I hope to see your brother on this site sometime too!

I suppose a lot of cats like to sleep this way but Cody has a cat tree with a cradle that he particularly likes and he sleeps in it on his back with his head and legs stretched out over the edges (because he is so long -- I've never been able to find "Maine Cooon" sized cat furniture so if anyone out there knows of any.... this tree is supposed to hold two normal sized cats but he barely fits in the cradle!

What a gorgeous animal! And he's a sweetie, too. I got to get me one of them big fuzzies.
