Where do you store your dogs food, treats, toys, supplies, etc.? I need a room just for dog stuff!

This is an unfinished room where Reggie sleeps and its where we put all of the dog food. I bought these containers for Nebo that work pretty well. The bottom one has the dog food, and the top one is filled with about every kind of rawhide and chews imaginable.

Here are a few containers that are in our kitchen filled with dog treats...the sad thing is, this is not even half of the amount of dog treats I have for them, lol. I even have dog treats in my room!

And the toys...well, this isn't all of them either. There's always a few scattered about the house and in my room. There's toys behind the box too. I think I need to buy some sort of big storage container, the box is pretty ugly. :o

The toys are usually scattered all over the house, but we **TRY** to keep them all in the den, in this laundry basket. :o I'm still looking for a cute container to store them in, but can't find one.

Treats, bones, etc.. are stored in the kitchen, and various rooms of the house.

Grooming supplies, shampoo, etc..are stored in the laundry room, in a cabinet up above.

Wolf_Q, why don't you make a simple wooden box that looks like a square chest. you can use your art skills & paint it with Nebo & reggie & doggy things. I'd think it would look great & it will be alot cheaper then buying on that doesn't match your room.

Food is in a container in the babinets, along with the many many bags of treats we have.
When the food in the container runs out, the big bag of it is in an airtite thing in the garage.
Toys are all kept in a basket WHEN someone feels like picking them all up. :o They're usually scattered about the house, and in the yard...:p
I'll take pics later.

I keep Binx and the kitties food in this little room that is between my kitchen and the steps leading upstairs. Since the upstairs isn't finished, I have no real need to access this area. It serves as a pantry.

His toys? They are largely in this huge wicker basket..and some are in the yard, in the neigbor's yard, in the car....

And the cats? Theirs are in baskets through out the house, except for the odd mousie that is ALWAYS under my foot first thing in the am..:D

My bf stores his food in the bag it comes in, wide open...don't you think that makes the food stale? He does it with both dog and cat food. I hate it...

Timber's and Leather's toys are all over the place, but I plan on making a toy box next year.

Timber's treats are in a jar on the counter, and her food is in a big green container in our cubicle.

At my other house where Leather is, her food is in the bag in the closet, and her treats are in the box in the closet.

We have food bins like the one's Amy posted for the dog food, a bone like she posted for toys (although they don't all fit!) and another bone on the porch for leashes, outdoor toys etc. Treats, nail clippers, ear cleaner, etc, etc is all under the kitchen sink.

Mickey's toys are usually scattered throughout the house but, like Julie, we TRY to keep them in his toybox which is right next to his cage. But sometimes he'll go in, pull one out and just leave it in any room and leave.

His food stays in these plastic containers (like Linsay's) and his treats are kept in the cupboards. :)

Food is in an airtight rubbermaid container that holds about 25lbs of food. We have one of those 2 ft wide, 3 drawer rolling carts made by rubbermaid that holds leashes in the top drawer, brushes, grooming stuff, etc in the second and clothing in the third. They're all so full that when we get something out, it's nearly impossible to close the drawer afterwards.

Christmas antlers, bandanas and toys are in the containers with the Xmas decorations.

Toys that are currently in use are kept in Chester's old "cuddle cup" that he used to sleep in during the day when he was a puppy, though they are always pulled out and scattered about the house and yard. (We rotate toys once a month so that they don't get bored with them, and the ones not in use are in a container in the closet.)

Toothbrushes & toothpaste are in the kitchen cabinet and cookies are in the pantry and on the counter in a cookie jar. Rawhides and other chewies take up 2 different drawers.

Sheesh! We need a bigger house!

well we dont have half as many toys as you guys do  there is no point they destroy all there toys in a few minuts anyway so what they have left of there toys we just leave wherever the hack they happen to leave it, the dogs meat is in the bottom of the fridge(a designated spot for the thawed stuff) and the rest is either in the fridge freezer, or the deep freeze. the veggies are on the other half the the bottom of the fridge(with a seperator to prevent the blood from the meat contaminating the veggies since the critters eat the veggies to) umm the treats we just cut up chicken weiners, but the cookies they win at tournys go in a dog cookie jar I won. um the supplements are just wherever they need to be. we dont have piles of treats as we prefere to keep them off any commercal pet products.

oh right there collars and leashes etc..(tones of collars we got from a clear out sale lol) are all on a little 4 hook rack in the stairwell, and the grooming supplies are in an old pencil box, we use zip lock backs and just old plastic bags as poop bags. basicly we dont do any of the fancy stuff most of you guys do lol

Well, when Moose lived with me at my house at school...there wasn't exactly a lot of room [or choice :p]. I ended up keeping his food and stuff in the kitchen in one of the lowest, unused cabinets...and I tried to keep all his toys in "his" basket in my room. I didn't do too well with that though...I can't even begin to count the number of times my roommates sat on a squeaky toy on the couch, or stepped on one while walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. :o

LOL Micki I thought that at first too until I remember that I think (might be wrong) milk in Canada comes in bags. I might be wrong tho and I know I will be corrected if I am! Well, I found out of course I was wrong, I would delete this but that would make me sound like a liar so I will just stand corrected.
Lindsey that is an awesome dog treat jar!!!
Amy, I was thinking you should buy a couple clothes baskets at the dollar store but I like Kingrattus' idea better!!! It wouldn't be hard to build a box without a lid!!! All you would need is a couple sheets of plywood!!! When I was in FFA in high school I made a dog house for our dog.
Jo, yes I would think that the food would get stale. Think you could buy or talk him into getting some rubber tubs or even a big garbage can with a tight fitting lid? I think that would be better then the open bag. Tho that is what we did when I was a kid. Oh you live and learn!
Let me see:
Where do I start.
Keegan's food is in a rubbermaid tub that can hold probably up to 40# of food. When I put the #35 bag in it doesn't quite fill it up. Then her food dishes sit on top of that.
I have her Bil Jac food in the fridge of course.
Her dog biscuits are under the sink, and I keep chew stuff in the cupboard in the kitchen (where I also keep Kylie's treats and no matter where I am in the house if I open that door she comes running!). I also keep both Keegan and Kylie's shampoo and conditioners in here. Any extra bags of biscuits are in my canning cupboard on my back porch. And talk about buying in bulk I had at one time probably close to 25 pounds of dog biscuits that I had bought!!! Actually I still have most of them!!! I had bought 2 - 8 lb boxes of biscuits from www.drsfostersmith.com . :o
Toys. hmmmmmm Keegan's toys are mostly her tennis balls and kongs but I keep them in a milk crate that I bought at the dollar store for a dollar. Usually the tennis balls are everywhere tho. Especially under the bed! I washed all the balls I could find the other day and after that I had 11 tennis balls on my kitchen floor!
Leashes and stuff are on a small peg board I made when I was a KID in Bible school.
Bandanas, material for them and my pinking shears, are in my dresser in my bedroom. The top drawer is a catch all.

and that is Keegan's spot if I am in the bathroom!

Yep you will be corrected ;)
Actually you're partly right. When I was growing up we had milk in bags (they're 1 litre [1.o567 quart] bags I think). But they eventually were replaced by cartons and jugs. I thought that was true of everywhere, but I just learned that the eastern provinces still get their milk in bags and that jugs never took off there. :)

BAGS?!?!?!? What kind of bags? Isn't that odd to have in the fridge? I mean doesn't it kind of spread out and take up a lot of room?

Gawd, that's so bizarre to me. :o

They're hard to describe. Kinda rectangular (as rectangular as a bag filled with liquid can be LOL) and you can get special compartments in your fridge to hold them. To pour you'd have a plastif jug that the bag fits in and you just snip the corner of the bag so there's a hole for the milk to come out of.
Hopefully Primabella can get some pics for you guys.

Oh one other thing, the bags aren't flimsy like say grocery bags or ziplock baggies. They're pretty strong.

My dog's kibble is stored in this tin (I don't feed Iams, I just thought the tin was cute --can you see why ;)--) What ever doesn't fit into the tin just stays in the bag with the top rolled tight until there is enough room in the tin.

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004146605178844768402.jpg

The raw food is stored in the dog freezer.

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004144488281821090130.jpg

Their food bowls are kept beside the tin.

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004144732497229194068.jpg

Or on the deck (for the raw food)

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004145158230565306020.jpg

As for treats, well they don't usually have any in the form of cookies and what not. I usually just have jerky treats because they're easy to rip into small pieces for training. My dogs got spoiled from my family at Christmas though so there's more treats than they normally have. They are all kept in the pantry, right next to our food.

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004143525125856390937.jpg http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004141499098529413929.jpg

Toys are always in this basket in the computer room. They never ever leave it unless I take them out to play with my dogs. My dogs don't really play with toys unless I initiate it.

http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Jan/2004148443177927021851.jpg

Leashes are kept in the closet near the front door. The shelties only have 1 chain each and one nylon buckle collar each. I'm always misplacing them since I rarely put them on my dogs. They can usually be found somewhere in my room.
