Our girls are ready, but guess we had better wait for rain instead of snow !!!!!

i love snow! rain isn't too bad either though. how many people live in seattle?

CatDad

You mean that you don't want to meet when it is 30 degrees and snow. Come on, were is your sense of adventure.:)

Well, I would kind of like to wait for the snow to stop first too.

I am open to pretty much anytime.

I'm only 3 hrs drive from you so if the meeting is later on like June I could probably make it but only on a weekend because I work full time. July, I'm planning a trip to the CA BBQ but I'm free in August and September.

BTW: we are planning a Vancouver meeting in March if you guys are interested.

Slick, tell us the week end you can come down and we will all meet at Marymore.

Right now it's 20* in Auburn, way to cold for me. I hurt my foot in Bend on Christmas eve, and I can't wear a shoe, so it's really cold for me.
Katz

Several Pt'rs are in the Seattle area.

I might be able to make it down. Doubtful, but you never know. Anyone know how many miles away Seattle is from Kelowna?

Any chance anyone could give me a ride? :D Hehe.

It's 315.07 miles according to Map Quest (http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&cl=EN&un=m&ct=NA&1y=US&1a=&1c=Kelowna&1s=BC&1z=&2y=US&2a=&2c=Seattle&2s=WA&2z=&formtype1=address&formtype2=address&idx=0&id=3ff9c946-00026-02397-400c2525&aid=3ff9c946-00027-02397-400c2525)

We are in a heat wave today, in the 50's. Most of the snow melted.
As soon as I can wear a shoe and we have a dry weekend we can plan a Marymore trip. Looking forward to meeting all the new Pt'rs.

OY, I am SURE glad the weather is back to "normal"! below 30 is WAY too cold for me. and that 20/teens business was NUTS! :O but the snow/ice sure was gorgeous!! :) so it was worth it. esp considering we had snow what, 2 maybe 3 times the past 2 years combined! and it didnt even stick.

YAY! meeting! hehe I know me & buddy are up for another meeting anytime! :D and Im sure kirsten & jim would love to come too! saturday is definately the best day for me since I volunteer fri & sun and work mon-thurs, but I might be able to do some schedule rearranging if a different day works better for you guys.

man, maybe if this aussie resuce group ever calls me back, I might have a dog of my own to bring next time! *VERY ANXIOUS* its been 7 days so far since I submitted an adoption application, and it takes 7-10 days to process it. so I *should* be getting a reply very soon...

Hi guys !!!:)

I've been wondering where you all were. I'm glad you found the thread. Veegan, as soon as you get a pup we will meet, rain or shine. If I can get a shoe on that is. Which I'm pretty sure I can by next week anyway. Our girls are ready to run with handsome Joxer again. And Nina said she can't wait to see Ruby again.

Good, something to look forward too. I'm so excited. Work sucks, but it always does, so this will take my mind off it !!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeiting the 'new PT'rs too.

But, I just remembered something...

(you all are about to see how much of a dork I really am)

I'm going to a Star Trek/Star Wars/Stargate convention pretty soon. I can't remember the dates right now, but I know it's Friday night - Sunday. I'll check with John tonight about the dates.

the off leash dog park at marymoor park in redmond. there are directions here (http://soda.org/directions.html).

or you can type the address into mapquest (http://mapquest.com/directions) and get directions directly from your house:

6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE
Redmond, WA

We usually meet just inside the main entrance.. I cant remember which parking lot its by.. anyone else know? well, its the main lot enterance, its not hard to find.

This sounds good to me.

I'll be there, putting it on my calander now. Even if I have to work, I can still come for a while. My schdule is not really set if I work on the weekends.

I will be there without a puppy and the kitties are not really the outdoor types.:)

Is it 10 or 10:30, I'll keep on eye on the thread and see what is decided.

Have your Mom come on the walk too!! We're not just people off the internet, we're people with pups ;) If she comes with you then we can all walk together and have a great time. She can also check us out from across the parking lot, we will be the big group right in front !!! Congrats Veegan to the new family member. :D

I wonder if PetsMart have a raincoat that small for Gigi??? Last time I "made" her go out a walk with me in the rain (it was not raining as heavy as this...just a fine mist) and she was shaking and whining the whole way. I think it will be better for her if we can go from hot summer to cool autumn then to freezing winter. ;) She could adjust better. She is afraid of cold. She always like to sit in front of the heater. :)

tomkatzid

Yes, I've seen some small sized raincoats at PetCo :)

Hmm... maybe I should pick up one for Ruby. She has a blue sweater she wears when we go for walks in the cold and/or light rain, but a rain coat might be a good idea if we're going to be out in the rain for a couple hours. I have to do some shopping tonight anyway, I think I'll swing my PetCo and check some out :D

It is DARK GRAY in Auburn. Not raining right this second, but it will.
Tom's at the park now. The river (White) has been up, so dead salmon all over and he is having a time keeping the pups away from all that mess. Poor fishies.

There's one at the Lowell Park here in Everett. It's fairly small, all grass, and usually not very crowded. I've never actually taken Ruby there, but have driven by quite a few times. There's a beautiful trail nearby that goes along the Snohomish River that Ruby and I go on quite often.

That park might be a good place for off-leash training since, like I said, it usually isn't very crowded. If you want to come up sometime I can show you guys around :D Maybe Rubes too, unless you want to really focus on training :)

As for the weather - up here it isn't too bad today. A little cloudy, but I can see a *tiny* bit of sun poking though. And no rain! :D

Kat, aww, sorry I missed you guys yesterday at PetCo! lol :D I decided to go tonight after work that way Ruby can come with me. I had to go to Fred Meyer yesterday as well and I didn't think they'd be too thrilled about a 50lb mutt walking around their store ;)

I'll see you all tomorrow! We can't wait! :D

Just a couple hours away! Ruby and I are on our way to Starbucks right now, but we can't wait to get to Marymoor!

yeah!!! Brock didnt get his evening walk last night so he is definitely ready... lol

I was going to bring Buddy along too, but I decided itd be too hard to keep watch on 2 dogs at once since Buddy likes to wander, and Brock will have to be on leash the whole time. Ill have to keep a close watch to make sure dogs dont get tangeled up in it. and steph (buddy's mom) cant make it today. so, next time!

Ruby is FILTHY!!!! She's getting a bath very soon (as soon as I finish uploading all my photos from earlier :D)

It was good seeing everyone again!
And it was nice meeting jenfer, CatDad, Gigi, and Brock for the first time :D

I am hoping to see pictures too! Since my hands were full, I didn't take any pictures. So, I'd loooooooooooove to see some pictures. My right arm is still sore from carrying Gigi for such a long time. :D

Ok, I just got done posting some photos. Here's the URL to the thread:

There's a link to the Imagestation album with all the rest of the photos in that thread.

Ruby is POOPED! How about all the other puppers?

You are always so fast.
We came home and fed the girls and went shopping.
This is the most Lucee has ever ran and played with other dogs. Last year we didn't let her off leash as much. She is so tired. She didn't even stand up to get a treat as we left. Tom had to take it to her bed !!!:)
I'm messing with my photos now. I will have them up tomorrow, maybe tonight, but I may need a nap too.

I had a great time, even if it was a bit chilly.

I enjoyed meeting everyone, and all the puppies too.:D

I can imagine the puppies are tired, I came home from my errands and took a nap.

Great pictures.:D I just went and looked at all of them. Looking forward to seeing Katz's, since she was using that cool lens. So did you get out and buy one yet?;)
