Poor Joxer had to get his ears cropped! Not a full crop, mind you. They had to take a little off the ends because he's got so much scar tissue from shaking his head.

We've been battling this for a while now. He's the shakingest dog I've ever had. He's does the whole full body shake when he gets up, when he comes inside, after he eats, after he plays....you get the idea.

His head and neck are so thick that it creates a large amout of centrifugal force and the tips of his ear split and bleed like crazy. Silly boy.

So the vet took the tips of his ears off (still long ears, not prick or anything) and that's supposed to create nice edges to heal and hopefully we will fix this problem.

The poor guy was paralyzed when we put the buster collar on him! He's finally now figuring out how to navigate with it.

Also with just a small cropping, they didnt stand the ears up and all that did they?

Nope, not at all. They just took about 1/2 inch off the ends. They're a little more rounded now. :)

Poor Joxer. Good thing they can take just a small amount off. He looks so darn cute with his floppy ears. Hope he won't be to uncomfortable while he heals.
We are looking forward to seeing him the next sunny weekend we have, at Marymore.

Joxer has ants in his pants?! I have never heard of such a thing! I'm glad they were able to keep his ears natural looking because he is so good looking and those add character. Best wishes, you silly boy!
