no they are not dangerious to the dog..

spiked collars were originally ment to stop ppl from trust passing in court yards. When ppl tryed to stop attack dogs from biting them they would grab for the scruff, or neck of the animal. with a spiked *or screwed* collar around the dogs neck the person would get cut..

they used to make spiked collars with rusted screws. they have a bad past lol:)

you can make them, but it costs a but more money.. you can but spikes at like local crapts shops for like a couple bucks each, and then buy a leather strip... then make one :p

Awww I love the spiked one! Baby looks great in red. ;)

My dogs are gong to get black leather collars with spikes. They look so tough and cool. ;) Of course they will only be for looks, so they'll also need some good nylon ones when I take them out to play with other dogs and go for swims and such so they don't hurt the other dogs or wreck the leather.

I like your babies new collars. They are cool. I don't think I will get one for tiny. She likes to snuggle in the sleave of my robe in the mornings. "Ouch!"

After my ex-friends Rotti (Rocky) was attacked by a loose mastiff, on her own yard, they bought Rocky a doubled spiked collar cause the Mastiff only bit his neck (lots of holes on the poor guy). Rocky was only defending himself, Rocky even tried to get away & thats when the Mastiff got him good, then the Mastiff got his butt kicked cause Rockies owner started screaming in fear of her dog, & rocky went into defending her mode & tore the mastiff to shreads. His collar saved his butt another loose dog, this tome Rocky didn't have bite marks & the other dog ran off ok.

I got max a studded collar (cause dad wouldn't let me get the spiked one). It looked really good on him.

Looks like Santa was good to the furkids. Loved seeing the pics. I agree, the red looks really good on Baby.
