OMG! I thought I was the only old lady who even knew when Keith's birthday was! :D

Mick's is May 26th I believe, also. I used to know everyone's. I was such a HUGE fan as a teen, of course that was in the early 80's, but still I was a huge fan.

BTW - I still LOVE Goat's Head Soup. ;)

Probably my favorite is Through the Past Darkly.

And I have the RECORDS! You know kids, the vinyl things that go round and round?!

Happy Birthday Mr. Richards!!!!!!

I have a friend who is a huge Stones fan (and only 28), so I know all of these things too!! He is so bad, he can tell you the release date of each song, and every birthday, anniversary, wife, child, mistress, and what drugs they did!!!!!!!!
I love the Stones too, but my favorite album is the one with "Miss You" on it--I can't remember the name!! That's my favorite song!!

A while back I found a picture of Keith with his dog--I'll have to dig it up and post it!!!!!

Neither did I!! The picture was on the People magazine website probably over a year ago, and I printed it out and gave it to my friend!!!

He says hands down, that Keith Richards is the coolest man to ever walk this earth.

Delidog!!!!
While it is nice that Keith Richards hit the big 60 today, it is also Brad Pitt's 40th Birthday!:D

But I do love the Stones music too, especially their older stuff like "Angie" and I really love "Paint it Black".
I was raised on Stones music and the Beatles too, my dad has every one of their records.

Lovemyshiba, Jagger and Richie are such cute kitties!:)
A friend of mine once had a kitten named Jagger who was a Russian Blue and so handsome.
Her Jagger would have been 15 like my Samantha but unfortunately one of her roommates let him out by accident and he was hit by a car before his 1st birthday.:(

I'm not a huge Stones fan, but I do love this song:

Please allow me to introduce myself
I’m a man of wealth and taste
I’ve been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man’s soul and faith
And I was ’round when jesus christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
I stuck around st. petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general’s rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
I shouted out,
Who killed the kennedys?
When after all
It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself
I’m a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached bombay
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what’s confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me lucifer
’cause I’m in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I’ll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down
Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!
Tell me baby, what’s my name
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name
Tell me baby, what’s my name
I tell you one time, you’re to blame
...

Deli, I've been a fan of Stones since I can remember. As an au-pair in London in 69, I borrowed the famliy's record player - yes, what a great family!! - and they had two cats. :D Played "Aftermath" quite a lot. Love the song "Play with fire" - in fact, I like most of them.

One of my all time favourites is "Perfect Stranger" - but that's Deep Purple!

PS. I'm going to have a look at your Birthday greeting now. :D
..... pssst! He's a Sagittarius!

K.R. is such a Sag.....Mr J's b-day is July 26 I believe, he's a Leo not a Gemini.
This old fart grew up in the fabulous 60's! Saw LOTS of Stones and Beatles concerts to name a few. Tickets were like $8 and we had to save and save our 35cents lunch money!
I was such a maniac that if I skipped school to wait in line for tickets, it would have been too obvious, so I remember sending (coercing) my teeny, quiet Asian girlfriend to pretend she was sick so she could be sent home and it'd never be obvious she was heading into the "big" city to wait in line for 5 hours for tickets! It was so cool because later when she told her mother, her mom said she had done the same thing waiting for Frank Sinatra tickets!!! Those Were The Days.....sorry..wrong group...
