Dylan has been with us for over a week and now has the run of the house and it feels like he has always been here! He seems to have become boss cat without even trying. He is not the least bit agressive, but I guess his size alone gives him a certain presence and the twins defer to him. As I said before, "play" is not in Dylan's repertoire - I can wave the feather on a stick and batting a paw is all I can get out of him - as long as he does not have to move anywhere! Last night, I caught Eliot and Dylan on the bed doing some interacting. They were about a foot apart and just sort of looking at each other - perhaps enjoying company? Dylan is ALWAYS calm!

Eliot can't resist batting at that big tail!

Well, he did not get swatted so why not make a lunge for it? Dylan remains calm..

Dylan, you're stealing my heart! Looks like you've got another one of those wonderful gentle giant orange males - My Mishi is the same - so big, soft and fluffy-tailed. As Martha would say, it's a good thing! :)

How cute!!

I'm so happy to see everyone getting along so well. I think this must be a record for smooth introductions. I've had Scout here for 5 months today and Ripley and she still don't get along. He still runs from her but only about 50% of the time now. Funny thing is he almost four times her size and he's the one that runs.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Deb, post away. I love seeing pictures of Dylan. He reminds me so much of Abner, except Abner is not calm, maybe Dylan could send some calm Abbey's way. ;) ;) ;)

What do you mean you won't always be posting as much??!! You'd derned well BETTER !!!

Well, I think you found the reincarnation of mt B Y.Lee. (he is sporting a long hair coat this tima around). He ALWAYS allowed the youngsters to play with his tail. And he was always calm. I am envious. And so glad he is fitting in so well.

:D
