I finally got around to setting up our pathetic little tree tonight and of course, had some help.

Here's the finished product. Only looks good with the lights off.

Next, we've got a demonstration of what you can do when you have elderly cats. No need to worry about any of these guys ending up on the floor. ;)

And here's the x-mas cards I've gotten so far. Only 2 of these is from non-PT friends. Also, no need to worry about these ending up on the floor. Tubby never goes on the half-walls and Peanut only rarely - whew!

And finally, I am so losing it these days. Not only do I decorate a box to look like a house for Peanut, but I put x-mas lights on it too! I just may need help.
And look it here, help you want, help you get! Tubby had to inspect to make sure the light installation was up to code.

And then Peanut had to inspect and show off her pretty little house.

That's all. Hope you enjoyed hearing about my decorating evening. :D

Dear Peanut,

I am SOOOOOO jealous! Look at that! Lights on your adorable house. I would never leave it were I you....

Do you have a little tree inside?

Yours in the holiday spirit....

Miss Edwina: Why don't you get Mr. Eduardo to build you a house??? After all, that's what men are for.....*snicker*

Wonderful pictures Debbie and I'm sure Miss Peanut is absolutely thrilled with her very own Christmas lights.

I, too, don't have a problem with things getting re-arranged. Max and Speckles are much too old to be bothered. Aren't we lucky?
:D :D

This is so cute...what is Tubby looking for?! Haven't you told him that it still takes some time until Santa will leave some toy mousies for him under the Christmas Tree?!:) ;)

Your home and Christmas decoration looks so lovely...there's nothing more comfy like the lights on the Christmas tree...this will be a wonderful season!!!

There's so much Christmas spirit - the tree, the lights, the cards, even Peanut's house decorated. You're ready for Christmas!

Aw, it all looks lovely. I absolutely love your collection of snowmen! And beautiful Peanut's house - what can I say? She is such a lucky girl.:D

Not only would the snowmen and the cards be causualties of war, the little lights in the stings on the house would be pulled out and strewn across creation! No Christmas spirit here.

Glad your house can look so festive. :D

:D

For the brick, I couldn't find any clip art that I liked, so I went outside and took a picture of the brick on our house. I then just printed out enough pages to cover her house. Had to trim the white edges off, and line up the brick so it looked realistic, and ran out of yellow ink so some of the bricks on the back side are a lot pinker, but I thought it turned out well. :) The flowers were a clip art that I found. I made it as big as a piece of paper and printed out a few, then cut them out and taped them on. The only part I'm not happy with is the front door. I couldn't get it big enough to cover the whole flap from top to bottom, so I'll have to work on that and look for a better pic. And the shingles are just clip art also, printed, trimmed and taped on.

So there you have it, the saga of the construction of Peanut's House. :D Nothing inside yet, but that's coming, probably next year sometime.....:D

Thanks for all the compliments everyone! I normally do more decorating, but this year x-mas has just snuck up on me so I did the "abbreviated version." :D :p ;)

Ooh! This is just what Samantha wants to find under her tree! Tubby!:D

I love what you have done with Peanut's cute little house, the lights look great!
So when do you start building a castle for Tubby and his Queen Samantha?;)

I agree that it is nice to have mature cats that don't bother with the decorations like younger ones do.
Samantha hasn't bothered the tree at all except for when she was very young.
She is happy to sleep under the tree and once in a while she will knock down some of the unbreakable ornaments on the lowest branches which are there just for her amusement.:)
