It may sound like a stupid question but our two cats that we adopted last year it said that they were 5 months and that they were strays. They are very loving and we got them from the shelter and they both had colds stuff nose that we gave them medicine.

A stray cat is a homeless cat on the street. For the most part, they have been socialized to humans some time in their past. If they were born on the street and never socialized to humans, then they are feral.

Is that why they both had colds because they lived outside.

I wonder how did the shelter find them.

They could have been pick up from the streets or someone could have brought them into the shelter. I am sure that they are other reasons too.

Most likely the reason for the URI(Kitty Cold) is probably from the shelter. It is very common for a kitty to have a cold comming from a shelter. The reason is that it is highly contagious and no matter how hard the shelter tries, it is genally picked up by a kitty and passed around. Luckly it is generally not hard to treat, but very hard to get rid of once it is in a group of cats they all share.

They are Catsthat have noone to care for them , in a proper way. That includes people that have the Cat , but let them outside for thier batroom duties , and are always forgetting to but Cat Food. And thier only commmunication is to holler at the Cat.
