Thanks sooooo much for all of you who suggested cat deterrent to keep Katie off of the couches. It works great! She's been faithfully been using her litter boxes with no accidents for several days.

It gives me warm fuzzies knowing that we'll have many happy years together without the smell of urine on my furniture.

Which one did you use? I think I may be needing some!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/tongue.gif
Pete and Pepper Jack need to be nuetered and I just haven't had time to get them there. They don't go out and all the girls are fixed so I wasn't in a huge hurry. Now they are starting to spray occasionally and neither my husband or I can get off work until after the first of the year. I would like to try something and make sure they don't start on the furniture.
I'm really glad that you found something to work for you because your situation was bad!! I'm so glad little Katie is behaving now. I know how much you love her and your future is looking a whole lot brighter!!:D http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif

I tried two - they both worked. One is called B'Have, and the other is called No-Stay! for cats. I got the B'Have online and when I ran out I got some No-Stay! when I was in Green Bay at PetCo.

You should try one! I sprayed the sofa with B'Have, then put Katie on it. She took off like a bat out of H___! Bob sprayed the No-Stay! on the couch, then put her on it. He said she must have jumped 3 feet in the air. She absolutely hates it!

Go ahead and give it a whirl! You have to spray daily, as it wears off quickly. I think after the habit is broken, you don't need to spray anymore.

I am so happy to hear the cat deterrent is working with Katie and the she is not using the couch as a litter Box. I agree that once Katie learns to use the box tat you should be ok to stop using the spray.

That is such good news, doing a little happy dance for you.;)

Give Katie a big hug for me.
