Our mean landlord has told my neighbor that she must get rid of her beautful dog Sierra. We all have dogs but Sierra has to go because she lives in the front yard and there is no grass where she runs around. Sierra is a female, lab mix. She is a beautiful brown with white on her legs, like little socks, and black polka dots. She has the tiniest bit of white on the tip of her tail, too. She looks like a horse when she walks because she is so tall, regal and skinnny. Sierra is good on a leash, but has not received a lot of attention from her owners because they just had a baby. That makes her a bit timid.
She is a very sweet dog and I would love to keep her myself, but my husband says no more than 1 dog and 2 cats. We live in Los Angeles County (South Bay). I don't want Sierra to go to a shelter because we have such a high kill rate here. Unfortunately, I do not have time to sit on the internet and contact all the local rescue sights because I work 10 hours a day!
If anyone can help, please let me know!! I could not sleep all night because I feel so bad. :(

Here's a couple of contacts in your area to try. They are not breed-specific because the Lab rescues I found can't guarantee they'll help Lab mixes... :(

I'm not familiar with your area of LA, so maybe some of the other rescues listed are near you and have space! Good luck! Sierra deserves a good home :D
