I just got this on one of my lists, and thought maybe the Californians might have some ideas on some sympathetic garages that might donate the repairs. I guess they are looking for donations to fix it. I emailed and suggested that they try and get the repairs donated.
PERMISSION TO CROSS-POST FAR & WIDE!
It is with much tears and discouraged heart that I ask
for your help!
Heart Bandits-Greater La Areas only rescue vehicle
has broken down right before the holidays and will
need approx. $1500.00 in repair service. Our rescue
budget does not allow anywhere close to this amount or
our many reskies will not eat! So I am asking you all
for your help, understanding, support or advice to get
us thru this tough time.
We need enough donations to cover the costs of repairs
for the car or any suggestions or referrals to
mechanics that might be willing to donate their time
and services to get the vehicle up and running again.
With upcoming placements pending it is critical we get
this car up and running as soon as possible so our
reskies might finally find their way to their new
forever homes! We are based out of Downey, CA and
need all the help we can get unfortunately we do not
have deep pockets like some people assume and all
expenses are paid for directly out of our own pockets
or adoption fees.
We know is not a good time for such a request and many
of you are plagued with your own problems but if
anybody could pitch in anything, even $1.00, maybe we
could meet the demand in order to cover the costs.
This is our Christmas Wish! Of course, I will be more
than willing to reciprocate if anyone ever needs my
help with anything that is within my area. We are a
501(c)3 Organization so any donation is tax
deductible. Alas, I appeal to your generous hearts
and hope for the best.
