I was less than a year old in these. The dog was my Aunt's GSD named Lady. Of course I don't remember her, but I these are the first pics of me with an animal.

:o Thank you Liana. :)

:o :o Nicole, I was a cute baby. Shame I had to grow up (and out).

My Auntie LOVED dogs and my mother (they were extremely close sisters) was terrified of them. My mom screamed when I first touched Lady on the muzzle!

Auntie later got a collie and named her Lassie, of course.

The girl holding me in the first two pics is my cousin who lives in Austin. She has 4 dogs and two cats. :D

I'll look, but I don't think I do. I'm sure my cousin does, but none of hers are scanned.:(

Lassie was a wonderful dog. Any tine we were at their house, she watched over me. She always stayed with me for the entire visit.

After Lady & Lassie passed to the RB they got Mitzie Sue. She was a terrier of some sort and that's when the terrier love started for me. Mitzie Sue was CRAZY and fun and everything a young girl could want in a dog. I still miss little Mitzie Sue.

Sounds like a real "Lassie" thing to do. ;)

You're aunt sounds like she had some wonderful pets. :)

You were so cute!!

I wish more people would do this with their babies and young kids. Too many people have irrational fears of animals because they were never properly exposed to them.

Lady was gorgeous!!!
I love that you were able to be with dogs at a young age--my cousin has 3 kids who are terrified of dogs--they cry when they see mine:rolleyes:

What a little cutie you were--but the hat.....

I know! My mother always dressed me way too warmly. If you notice, everyone else has on sleeveless shirts and shorts. I have on layers of long sleeves and a hat.

She took me to the pediatrician dressed that way once and he gave her an earful!
