I'm cross posting this email from Lee at HUA. They really need our help and this would be an easy way to give them a hand should you be traveling in that area. My husband racks up hundreds of frequent flyer miles flying weekly to Japan and Europe and is donating ALL of his frequent flyer miles!!! YIPPPPPPPEEEE!!! Maybe some of you are traveling and can lend a hand to this absolutely wonderful organization that does so much to find forever homes for so many special dogs. Here's his message....

Dear Friends of Hearts United for Animals,

Hearts United for Animals has being doing long distance adoptions for almost
eight years. Our corporate headquarters is located in the rural Midwest so
we need to find homes for our wonderful dogs outside the area. We have
always flown our dogs on airplanes. We are very careful about how we do
this and have never had a dog hurt. It has always been difficult to do
though. Since the tragedy of 9.11 it has become even more difficult. More
than ever we need to have our dogs fly with a human passenger.

So we are asking for your help. If you are flying in or out of Omaha, Kansas
City or Philadelphia and could take a dog with you, would you please let us
know. Also, if you have any frequent flyer miles that you could donate so
our volunteers could personally fly dogs to their new homes, we would really
appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your kindness. Please repost.

Best wishes,
Lee Wheeler

Sandra, what a wonderful organization, we don't fly much anymore, but I think I did have some miles and I'll look them up and be glad to donate them if I do. Three cheers for your wonderful hubby for donating all those miles, guess he is a dog lover just like you. :) Hugs and kisses to Star, Cody, Mister B, Oliver and Squeekers, did I get them all right? LOL

Thanks everyone. And I just wanted to emphasize that it's not just frequent flyer miles that are needed. Anyone flying to or from those areas (midwest and Philadelphia) could donate their attention and love by being a dog sitter/handover agent during and after the flight. :)
