H.O.R.S.E of Connecticut

My girlfriends and I have formed a "ya ya" group. And decided that one of our missions beyond being there for eachother, will be to do good around us and contribute. Last sunday we went for our fist of many Sundays to the HORSE rescue of Connecticut.

Today was our second trip, as soon as my computer isn't acting up again I'll try and post some pictures for you.

We are planning to go every sunday or almost every sunday.

Today we groomed about 8 horses, and watched them saddle and ride a Stallion who has and old injury (a broken leg that won't ever heal properly) and hasn't been ridden since he came to the rescue almost 2 years ago. It's really wonderful to be helping out, and even more amazing to watch the joy that her stallion Stormy exhibited today being ridden. The woman who owns the rescue almost cried tears of joy as did we. And so nice to be doing something to help.

Thanks Karen I will, it really is great and it's so amazing that these horses are just so loveable after all they've been thru.
mostly they follow you around like lap dogs and nibble at your fingers looking for treats, they are all spoiled rotten now, too bad they weren't always treated so well!

This is Stormy the farms stud horse, he's being ridden here for the first time since he got to the farm, he's loving it but he has a broken knee and will never be able to be studded out again but damn if he isn't a beauty huh?

I'll post some of the ladies when I get to take pictures, River is the only one down on the lower half of the farm so we see her far more often, as that's where we do most of our work helping!
