Actually great news..... Skinny is finally after all these months making what looks like almost but not quite normal potty. I never thought I could be so excited. I have a call into our vet to let him know :)

That is great news.:D

Here's hoping that it continues. Just asking becasue I am curious, what was it that finally did it? I know that you were trying different things.

Cat Dad,

At present moment we are mixing Nutro Natural Choice and Eukanuba Lamb/Rice for dry food for last week.

Plus, non fat yogart twice a day with a dab of pumpkin pie filling (fiber).

I think getting off low residue vet diet and onto Lamb/Rice and Nutro Choice plus pumpkin helped him. He isn't sarfing down food like there is no tomorrow with the newer foods. I think prior to that change when he was scrafing it didn't do his tummy any good. I saw better change in potty when I added addtional feeding of pumpkin.

P.S.

Just got off phone with our vet who is excited too :) He thinks it's the high fiber Nutro and pumpkin that is binding things for Skinny. He wants me to whine him off yogart and Lamb/Rice. go strictly to Nutro high fiber. I am going to keep him on yogart (non fat) and pumpkin for a while ;)

Yay! :D

Many cats with IBD have to go through so many different food changes to find out what is acceptable for their bodies. I'm glad your dietary changes didn't go on for a long time!

Keep it up Skinny!

When Muskrat (Tortie in avatar) was recuperating and on antibiotics, the vet suggested plain yogurt to solidify her stools . . . and it did help.
