Thursday the 20th is the day. I'll be there too. All the local papers and at least two tv news crews will be there. A lady with a lot of clout and her own voluteer rescue is holding it at her place. It's for Chance and another dog. I'm so excited! She's really started to help me now. Gave Chance all his wormer/flea/tick stuff. Even paid for his last bag of food to give me a break. I've got to pay full board($14 a day=4 days) for the holiday weekend. She said she'd help me on that, too. Anyway, we're hoping to get some money raised for the two dogs and I think there's another animal as well. Bay News 9 will be there and they're taping at 1:30, however I don't know when it will be shown. I again want to thank those of you that helped me with him.
I was there to see him today and got some really good shots.
He loves playing in this.

I was whistling when I took this one. He's too cute for his own good.

Here's a little play buddy they brought out. You should have seen them running around together. He was all puppy spastic. It was so cute. I tried to get a pic but they were too quick.

Here he is looking for the little dog after it had gone inside. He didn't see the dog leave.

One last pic. He's grown so much. You can really tell it in his face.

Great news! I'm so excited, Chance sure was lucky that you found him and are giving him a second chance at a great life. Those pictures are great, he looks so healthy and happy now. He looks so much different then he did when you first introduced us to him.

I'm so glad to posted about Chance again, and such good
news too. You have certainly been an angel to this sweet guy.
I hope with all my heart that he finds a forever home with
someone who can give him all the love & attention (tons of
smoochies) that Chance deserves. If I lived closer, I swear
I'd be very, very tempted myself. He & Smokey would just have
a ball together.:D

Val,
Is this pup yours? He is a cutie!! He reminds me so much of Brodie--

He's not mine. I rescued him from being put down at animal control. He was brought in as a cruelty case. Someone possibly poured acid down his back. You can see where it's healed in a few of the pics. Here's the first pic I took of him at animal control. I've been boarding him at doggy day care. Nice owner has given me half price all this time. I can't believe how much he's grown.

I thank God there are people like you out there who help these poor pups get a second chance at life. I can't begin to sort my feelings out about people who would do such horrible things to another creature, but it truly warms my heart to see them saved. I guess that is why I sometimes watch the animal cops shows on Animal Planet because I can see some of those animals saved and see the people brought to some sort of justice, even if they really deserve more than they get.

Chance is beautiful, he has one of those faces you can just get lost in.

If that isn't a face filled with laughter, I don't know what is. What a precious pic and a precious pup.

I know I always wonder about Tasha's littermate. When I adopted her from the shelter, she had a sister with her and the hard part of adopting Tash was knowing her sister would have to stay at the pound but alone now. I hope and pray she found a loving home too.
