The volunteers at the shelter are putting together a Christmas Fundraiser. We are going to set up a stand at a mall where we have a couple of Christmas trees set up. For a $5.00 donation we will illuminate a light for their pet. Red light for "in honor of" and a white light for "in memory of". We will also put pictures of their pet on the Christmas trees.
We are also going to have a graphic artist design a card that can be sent out if someone wants to donate in memory of someone else's pet.
We will also have a display of all the adoptable pets at the shelter. Plus we will some of the dogs or cats dressed in some kind of Christmas decor and have them at the exhibit.
We want to use the "Rainbow Bridge" poem for the memorial card, but it might be too long to fit properly on the card. We thought we might make a poster on an easel and use it as a centerpiece instead.
I was wondering if anyone either knew a similar yet shorter poem or if anyone had the talent to write it.
Any ideas?
