Joxer is being a nawtee cat. We don't allow our cats on counters or tables (at least when we're around. ;) )

Recently, Joxer has found a table that he likes to sleep on. We don't really use it much except to drop the mail on, and store some other miscelaneous junk and some house plants.

Unlike Jan, who knows she isn't supposed to be on a table and will jump right down when we catch her - Joxer acts all sweet and simple-minded - like he really doesn't grasp why he should get down.

To make it worse, he's a solid grey kitty, and you can walk past the table and not even notice him because he blends in like a shadow.

It's so funny.:D

We have the same rule in this house as well. The last few days though, Cubby has jumped onto the counter. He will just sit there and look at you and tilt his head. As if he is saying 'Aren't I cute up here?' When I tell him to get down in a stern voice, he reaches his paw and grabs my arm and starts giving me a bath. At least he's cute so I can't get mad at him. When I put him back onto the floor he looks at me with that look of 'What did I do wrong?' Then he will go play for the rest of the day. His treats are on the counter (I am giving them to my mom for the strays she feeds) we think that is why he has been getting up there the last few days. He isn't allowed to have treats so maybe he thinks I forgot about them and he will get them himself.

My kitties and I have an agreement. They are only allowed on the table to look out the window to watch the birdies, but they are NEVER allowed on the table when we are eating. So far, they have stuck to the agreement.

But they are NEVER allowed on the counters, but the new guy(Chipper) has a lot to learn.
Here he was caught in the act.
Look at that look of innocence. "What's the matter meowmie"

My cats aren't supposed to be up on the counters or tables either but they do it any way. At least Sunny and Storm do it. I've never seen Sky or Cirrus up there yet.

Here's a very naughty Sunny. He was just so cute that I had to take a picture of him. :)

Not only do my cats get on the counter, but my pomeranian does too! No one is actually allowed though. They get kicked off. Ron's place is on top of the fridge. He sleeps there all the time.

Of course my cats are no different than these naw-tee kitties!! I have a hard time actually catching them on the counter, but you always know when they jump off cause you hear a loud "thud" when they hit the floor!:o

Oh how good and well-behaved everybody's kitties are, NEVER going on the counters and tables :D :D

...so there are no pics. I am forever cleaning tell-tale itty bitty paw prints off the glass dining, coffee and side tables. Occasionally, I will catch a kitty relaxing on the coffee table as it is nice and cool, a big slab of glass.

They both try to get up on the tables when we are eating but they don't last long! Randi has also been taught by Pixel how to get onto the benches

Everyone's kitties look so nonchalant and cute!
