Thought you might enjoy a story with a good ending. This was in our local paper this morning. I love the stories that end well, with everyone cooperating!

Amazing...leave it up to a labbie to survive such a prediciment. I bet she's being spoiled to the max now! I know she deserves to be http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Thanks.

Kudos to the firefighters who worked hard to dig her out, even though it's not particularly in their job description! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

I agree with Karen. I hope somebody spoils those wonderful firefighters as well as the lab! Thank you for posting this heart-warming story, Logan.

Great story, Logan! Hope Phred sees it! Another great firefighter rescue. They never cease to amaze me; the incredible job these men and women do. And of course, leave it to a labbie to get into a "hole" like that, and survive!

Firefighter Phred here ~

As Angels3 might say, "Good Onya, Wade Hampton Firefighters!"

But it's true, most Fire Departments do "Public Service" type rescues when they have the resources to do them without risking their personnel. Seems the smaller the Department, the more often the phone rings with this type of call...

I'm in a small, rural Department that often gets "strange requests" for assistance:
Water in the basement, Kat up a tree, Dog fell through the ice on my pond, Horses, cows, goats out wandering on the road, Tree down on the road, Have you seen my missing dog, and the list goes on. We've told our Dispatchers "If the public calls for *help*, send the page out and we'll try to assist." And we usually get a good turnout of willing Firefighters, too http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif!
