I just don't understand that. We just got new furniture too and trust me, Ripley is trying our patients with his sharpening on it but there is no way I would send him packing because of it. I just cover everything with beach towels and blankets when I'm not here to watch him.

You know, when Briggs came into our lives, we actually reupholstered our favorite chairs in something she couldn't destroy. She was ripping them to shreds so we had them redone in leather. Then we took the old fabric off the chairs and used it to make new scratching posts cause she obviously liked it soooo much. It's all a matter of priorities and I just don't GET people that put "things" above LIFE!!!

And she probably doesn't match their new furniture like some other kitty we've seen before :(

I hope she gets new humans, some special ones that would not prefer the furniture instead of her.
