I have already posted pictures of Boomer who belongs to my daughter Sirrahsim in Japan. This weekend I finally met two more grandkitties. They belong to my middle son who just married in June.

First here is Pickles, a friendly male orange that I fell in love with instantly. He is 7 months old and they adopted him from a shelter a couple months ago. I have NEVER met a kitty with a sweeter disposition:

Pickles gave me a nose rub :) (wish I could edit out the double chin!)

The kids put up their tree and Pickles has already learned to be a "nawty kitty". :D

This is the kitty they adopted when they first married in June. The shelter thought she was about 2 years old. Her name is Marshmallow and I call her the "Divine Miss M". She REALLY has the persian princess persona down to an art. She is also very loving and friendly!

...and one more...

Oh, they are so sweet.

A house is not a home without at least a kitty :)

Boy, grandkitties are just wonderful. I love your nickname for Marshmellow (Divine Miss M)....I think by the pictures that that name fits her purrfectly, and I must say that Pickles is so very handsome.

... those are the most beautiful cats I've ever seen!

Hi, I'm daughter-in-law of sirrahbed. My kitties are wonderful, if I do say so myself. I've learned a lesson the hard way--never use tinsel on trees... even plastic! I've had quite a problem with Pickles eating it. We've tried to remove it all, but it's a bear. Of course, he doesn't understand "no". So is the life of a cat owner...

awwww! The tinsel was so pretty but I can see how it would be a problem with kitties - might even choke them if they ate some. I never thought about that...Guess you will be picking off tinsel for awhile!!
Nawty Kitty!!

sirrahbed,

Pickles looks EXACTLY like my Doogie!! Although Doogie is MUCH fatter. I'll bet he has the same kind of goofy, laidback personality too, right??? I got him at the shelter where I volunteer. He is the reincarnation of my RB furbaby Casey Bubba Dude (RB, 2002).

Hey Donna - can you post a pic of Doogie? YES, Pickles is the most laid back cat I have ever met!!! I am convinced that orange males have this personality. My son actually tosses him in the air and Pickles loves it! Anyone can pick him up and he just relaxes. We only "met" Pickles this weekend since my son and daughter-in-love are newlyweds and live in another state - but I love their cats! Pickles even shared the bed with me all night :)

BTW, I read up on the catshow and they will have several humane shelters there. What if I see an orange male??? What if he begs me to bring him home???

sirrahbed,

As my daughter would say "JUST DO IT!!"

I will definitely take some pictures of Doogie and post them. I also believe that the orange cats have a laidback personality.

Here is Doogie and his "main squeeze" Fawnie. They are INSEPARABLE!! Everytime I see them they're either wrapped around each other or grooming one another. I swear sometimes I want to yell at them to "Get a room already!!!"

Notice Doogie's paw around Fawnie.
