I don't usually ask for the prayers but my mom just called me this morning to let me know that her Figaro is in the hospital and I know tht the power of the PT Prayers is always strong.

She does not know what happened to him, just when she came home last night at midnight (she works second shift) Figaro pulled himself up the stairs dragging his back end. She immediately took him to the vet's where they said they think he may have dislocated his back end. They think he may have fallen from a high point in the house and landed the wrong way. They seem to think that he does not have any internal injuries which is good. I know he is in the best care, she uses the same vet I use and he is being treated by one of my favorite vets.

Here is a picture of "My Boy". Thanks in advance to everyone and I will keep you posted.

I just got an update from my mom. She called the vet and he said that nothing was broken but he definately dislocated his right hip. They reset the hip this morning and hopefully he will be able to go home on Friday. Thank you all for your prayers. Even though Figaro belongs to my mom...I love him like he is one of mine and I worry about all of her babies just as much as I worry about mine. Thanks again everyone. ---Meg

I will definitely keep Figaro (love that name......reminds me of the original Figaro from Pinnochio) in my prayers. I'm so glad that they were able to reset his hip, and hopefully he will be all better in no time!!! :)

By the way, I completely understand your love for your mother's pets. I'm the same way. My mom has Scout (a Lab/Golden mix, who is older like our Murphy, and so special), plus Mr. Darcy, the Boston Terrier from #$%@, but he is precious and they love him so much. I love them both, as if they were my own!!! :)

Oh no! Poor Figaro! I'm so glad to hear nothing was broken. My first thought was he was hit by a car. What a relief to know he's already on the mend and will be fine. :)

...It's hard to believe that he would be mucking around like my two do. I am always worried that they will hurt themselves!!

I am glad to hear that the gentleman is doing well, any updates?

Ok, first I want to thank everyone for the prayers.

Figaro is doing very well, the hip has been reset and stayed in place throughout the night, however he is having difficulty going the bathroom. The vet is having to express his bladder for him. That makes me worry. His regular vet his off today, so we will get another update tomorrow.

Once again, thank you everyone. It is so nice to have such a support system. :)

Keeping all fingers and paws crossed for a speedy recovery and hoping he's not in pain!
