Curious. Can calico's be males? This is probably a stupid question, but I've thought about it and I know/have seen a lot of calicos, all which are females..so I'm just wondering if thats how it works..??

Hm..

"All tortoiseshell and tortoiseshell and white (Calico) cats are female."

I guess that answers my question then lol. Thanks Kay

We have a male calico, but this is very rare! Usually calicos & torties are female.

Before my RB Goldie died, I didn't know that female orangies were rare -- I just thought I had a very beautiful, loving, fluffy gal. When she died and I went looking for another orangie gal, I discovered how fortunate I had been for the past 14+ years and what a rare kitty she was. Now I have my big orange dude, Mishi, and my mini calico-tortie gal, Mitzi. Love them both :)
