Since Ebby came to live with us I have got into the habit of shutting the door behind me every time I go in or out. Well, on Saturday I came in after doing something in the yard and after a minute or so I remembered Bob was still out there. I looked through the side window, grabbed my camera, opened the door and took these.....

If you look carefully you can just see him doing the `springer paw` with his left one. :)

Liz, I have a Mahonia bush and the thing Bob has is an old dead stem where the flowers have been. :)

Rachel and dukedogsmom, springer paw is a cute thing all springers do with one of their front paws.....difficult to explain.... Dog of the Day Aleen is doing it in one of her pics...

and attached is a picture of a figurine I have that shows a springer holding a paw that way. I think other breeds may do a similar thing but I think Springers do it more, or in a different way, than others, enough to make it characteristic anyhow. :D

I found a picture of Bob sitting using the `springer paw`! :) (It is not all that good but if you knew how hard it is to get a picture of him doing that...... )
