Kia's fall allergies have started up again. :( She digs and digs at her ears mostly, though does scratch her belly and legs raw in a few spots. Cortizone shots help for a little while, but not all winter.

So to save my walls and furnitures from a blood bath this winter, I got her a cone.

She hates it.... not that I expected her to like it. Though she doesn't try to take it off.

She doesn't wear it all the time. Only when her itches are the worst.

So here she is. Modeling her cone. :)

Ahh mom! Why are you taking pics of me!

Pity me.

What's the Vet say about Benadryl??
Cinder took that for a few weeks when she developed a
tummy itch that she wouldn't leave alone.

LOL!! That's a great pic. Chester has a cone and another type of coller that works on the same principle. The non-cone one works best for him, cause he can get in and out of the pet door. Plus, he's not constantly hitting me in the leg with the cone.

Here's a pic of it (not trying to steal Kia's thunder :D)

Poor Kia!! :( What is Mommy doing to you???

Hey Kimmy,

Have you asked your vet about an anti-itch cream? I mean afterall, having an itch and NOT being able to scratch it must be driving her nuts!!!

Those pictures are great!

Do you mean the over-the-counter stuff? I haven't tried that! I'll ask the vet. :) I just know we've tried every doggie anti-itch product from injections, to cremes, to shampoos.... and she might stop itching for a few days, but then she's right back at it.

It's like clockwork every fall...

She hasn't itched in the last few days so she's been cone free. :)

Kia thanks everyone for the compliments. She doesn't care if it's her color. She just wants sympathy. LOL!

Yep, we give Chester one over the counter Benadryl as needed, too. It works pretty good for his itching and he loves getting the peanut butter! :D :D :D
